Why do I get a "You are not permitted to access this page." message on some pages?
Some pages are viewable by the public and some are not. In fact, I can and have created several levels of access, and pages can be restricted to specific access levels. So, if you received that "You are not permitted to access this page." message, then it can mean one of several things:
1. you are not registered on the site
2. you forgot to login as a user
3. the page you're trying to view isn't accessible to your user/access level
When I change Themes in my profile, some themes don't look as good as others. Why? ?
That's the nature of themes: different layouts for different tastes. But not all layouts/themes will be optimized for the site as far as theme or color contrasting with font colors, etc..
I've tried to upload my avatar but it keeps failing. What's wrong?
Filesize for avatars is limited to a max of 100x100 pixels, or somewhere thereabouts, and 200kb filesize. If you try to upload and it fails, check the file dimensions and filesize and make sure it is no larger than 200kb at 100wx100h.
What's that WEBMAIL link on the menu? Can I use that?
It's webmail for members of this site who have an e-mail account set up. Read the article about webmail/POP/SMTP/IMAP e-mail accounts.
Why did you decide to use this PhP-Fusion if it doesn't have a lot of features the other systems (PHP-Nuke, Postnuke, etc.) have?
The majority of the other systems are overkill for the purpose of my personal web page. I've seen others use systems like PHP-Nuke for a personal web page and they end up adding content just to make use of the features, and end up with bloated sites. Kinda like buying big shoes and then stuffing it to make your feet fit instead of buying the proper size...
I read somewhere reference to an adult or mature section here. But I can't find it. Can you help?
YES there's a mature area. Certain parts of the articles section, discussion forum, etc., are limited to mature access because they can, may and do contain things that some may find objectionable or may be inappropriate for the young ones. Things like mature topic jokes, maybe some light adult pics or video, we definitely have some gory Iraq pictures of the bad guys getting blown to bits, things like that.
NO access isn't automatic. Once you're registered on the site, you have to request mature access. It's to make sure those who have access actually acknowledge wanting such access and don't "accidentally" read or view anything they didn't want to view or read. You also need to ensure you have your user profile on the site completed so that you have a location and birthdate displayed.
Then, send me a private message (send to Royce, Super Admininstrator, or Administrators) and tell me you want the access and I'll give it to you.
